What time is Check-in / Check-out

 

Check in time is after 2 pm and check out time is before 11 am.

Can anyone use the shared hot tub/sauna? 

 

The property has a 6 person hot tub and a sauna (located beside the Suites) for our guests to enjoy. There is no extra charge for using it however it is required that individuals/groups reserve their hot tub time.  Should you wish to book the hot tub, you can do so when you make your reservation or anytime before or during your stay by calling or texting (506) 365-7636.  You may book the tub in 1 hour intervals with the option to book longer or multiple time slots if available. The hot tub will be closed at 11 pm each evening.

Do any of the cottages have a private hot tub?

 

The Love Shack (Cottage #2),The Hilltop House (Cottage #1) and The Big Oak (Cottage #4) all  have private hot tubs.  They are both electric hot tubs that operate year round.

How are the cottages laid out?

Each cottage has plenty of space around it to allow for privacy and a view of the river.  Click here to see a map of the cottages.

Are pets allowed?

 

All our accommodations are pet friendly.  Pets are not permitted on any of the beds/couches. There is no extra charge for pets unless extra cleaning is required.

Is firewood and propane provided? 

​

We provide propane for the BBQs and wood for the wood stoves to heat the cottages in the winter.  In the summer and warmer months we provide one bin of wood per cottage/suite a day for a small evening fire in the fire pits provided. A bin contains approximately 18 pieces of wood.  Additional wood is not available.  Guests are permitted to bring their own wood.

Can I smoke in my cottage or suite? 

 

The cottages and suites are all non-smoking units. For your convenience we have provided ashtrays outside on the verandah of your cottage or suite. Storeytown Cottages reserves the right to charge the credit card of any guest who has allowed smoking inside any of the units, up to an amount of $100. 

 

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes, our water is safe to drink.  Our wells are UV filtered and tested annually.

Do I need to bring anything? What are the cottages equipped with?

 

You will need to bring your food, but you do not need to bring any supplies for your cottage, unless out of personal preference. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, coffee pot,Keurig machine, utensils, fridge, stove, microwave).  Dish soap is provided. Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows) are all provided as are towels and facecloths. Foaming hand soap and toilet paper are also provided but you will need to bring your own shampoos/body wash.  There is satelite TV and WIFI in each cottage, and a BBQ on the deck of each cottage.  Each cottage has ample seating for around the campfire (benches, chairs, picnic tables)

 

How are the Kitchenette Suites equipped?

 

The kitchenette suites are fully equipped with bedding, towels and a table & chairs. The kitchenette offers a small sink, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, Keurig Machine, one burner hot plate, pot & pan, dishes, utensils, and a small fridge. Satelite TV and WIFI are also in each of these suites and BBQs are available outside each unit.

What is your cancellation policy? 

 

As we are a small operation, cancellations are detrimental to our survival. Because of this we have implemented the following cancellation policy. This helps to set the standard that we, at Storeytown Cottages, are accustomed to providing our valued guests. Our cancellation policy is as follows: 

 

• ​Cancellations within 14 days of arrival - No refund of the deposit will be made.

• Cancellations prior to 14 days of arrival - Full refund of the deposit.

• Cancellations within 24 hours or no call no show -Full price of stay will be charged.

 

What is required to make a reservation?

 

At the time of reservation we will ask you for your name, address, contact information and a credit card number. These are required in order to confirm your reservation and to enable us to forward you a confirmation receipt.

 

A deposit of 25% of your total reservation will be charged to your credit card at this point. Please note that a reservation is not considered by Storeytown Cottages to be confirmed (and therefore the unit is able to be booked by another party) until a deposit is paid.

 

The full balance of your reservation is due upon check-in.

 

Please note that there are no refunds for early departure.

No shows without any contact to cancel the reservation will be charged the full amount of the stay.

What is there to do in the area?

 

Not only are there the day adventure activities available right here at Storeytown Cottages (river sports, swimming in the river, hiking and biking trails, fishing, winter activities) there are several nearby activities and local attractions. Check them out here.
